ITINERARY

Meeting point  – Miraflores

  • Departure to the Caral and Bandurria Archaeological Centers. Information and specialized guidance during the tour.
  • Breakfast stop at Restaurante del Pino 
  • Arrival at the Citadel of Caral. Considered the “Oldest City in America”, built in the Supe Valley 2,600 years BC. approximately.  It is the “Oldest Civilization of America” and “Cultural Heritage of Humanity”, declared by UNESCO in 2009. Its antiquity is compared to the civilizations of the old continent: Mesopotamia, Egypt, India and China. This majestic Archaeological Complex is located on an arid desert plateau that dominates the fertile valley of the Supe River. It has more than 65 hectares of extension, where you can see the impressive monumental buildings such as the Greater Pyramid, the amphitheater temple, the Gallery Pyramid, the Cantera Pyramid, the Huanca Pyramid, the Minor Pyramid and the temple of the circular altar.
  • Lunch in the reception area of the archaeological site (Only Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Monday to Friday lunch in Huacho).
  • Arrival at the Bandurria Archaeological Center. In front of a long sandy beach next to the Pacific Ocean, on high ground (20 meters above sea level), are the pyramids of Bandurria, built nearly 5,000 years ago.

Return trip : Arrival in Lima – Miraflores around 7:30pm / 8pm
