Exploring Reykjavík on New Year’s Eve was a truly magical experience, with the streets buzzing with excitement and festive lights. The guided walking tour offered fascinating insights into Iceland’s traditions and the night culminated in breathtaking views of the city’s fireworks display. My only suggestion would be to include a bit more time for personal exploration at the end, as I would have loved to linger in some spots.

Wandering through the enchanting alleys as the sun dipped below the horizon left me spellbound, especially with the exhilarating anticipation of a fresh year ahead. The guide expertly shared stories that brought the city’s rich history to life, making each step feel like a chapter in a magical tale. My only wish is that the walking pace had been slightly slower, allowing me to absorb even more of the vibrant atmosphere around me.

We had an unforgettable time on our walking tour, especially enjoying the local traditions that surround New Year’s Eve in Reykjavík in Iceland. It would have been even better if we could have spent a bit more time capturing the magical fireworks display!
