Porto

We leave Porto and take the motorway heading east towards Vila Real. On the way, we pass through a region marked by green vegetation and granite rocks.

Amarante

Our first stop on the trip, take us to the small town of Amarante, here, we will visit the picturesque city centre characterized for the Tâmega river passing right in the middle of it and with it’s huge church marking the landscape. Take some free time to visit it and enjoy coffee with some typical pastries, we resume our trip towards the Douro Valley.

Douro Valley

To get to our amazing Douro Valley we will cross one of the longest tunnel in Portugal (túnel do Marão) the cuts through the Marão mountains, we can call them, the natural border to enter the Douro Valley. We will notice the beautiful terraces full of vineyards in a breath-taking manmade shaped landscape.

National road 222

After lunch, along one of the most scenic roads (national road 222) right by the Douro river, we will arrive at the village of Pinhão where we will have a chance to experience a river cruise enjoying one of the most beautiful views of the Douro valley.

Them we will have another great experience at another Premium Winery with more wine tastings.

Quinta do Portal

We will take you to a premium winery by the Douro river, here we will visit a wine producer and learn about how the wine is made and why the Douro wines have unique characteristics to them.

You can also be picked up from a private address other than hotels in Porto & Vila Nova de Gaia downtown area/city center only (Matosinhos cities are outside pick-up limits).
Please contact us with your hotel/address if you are not able to input it during the checkout stage.
Our pick-ups happen between 8:00 AM and 8:45 AM (the time window for all client pick-ups), so we advise our clients to always aim to be ready at 8:00 AM in advance.
