The Mae Wang river is an excellent choice for the adventurous traveller. Not only is this a great example of northern Thai Jungle, but also the perfect place to learn how to navigate Class 2,3 rapids, tight turns on the heavily forested kayak trip. Elephants can be seen by the riverside as we navigate down stream. Great trip.

Mae Wang Rock Hopper Trip from Chiang Mai
8:30 am Hotel Pickup , drop off at the shop for sign up and river lessons
9:30 am drive to the Mae Wang river Put In
10:30 am Final Paddle stroke check and take off down the river through thick jungler.
1:30 pm arrival at our lunch place next to an elephant camp
2:30 pm back on the river , this 1/2 has the fast water and cool rapids, perfect for newcomers and intermediates alike
