Stellenbosch: the second oldest town in south Africa has fondly been called Eickstadt or city of oaks and its street are lined with some of the most beautiful surviving examples of cape Dutch Georgian and Victorian architecture in the cape.  and Stellenbosch Cabernet sauvignon can be found on wine lists the world over, while sauvignon Blanc, shiraz and chenin Blanc are all planted here in quantity. Stellenbosch is notable for being the birthplace of Pinotage {crossing of Pino noir and cinsault} in 1924

Franschhoek is south Africa's top food and wine destination. along with its world-famous wine estates and award-winning fine dining restaurant, the history of Franschhoek is just as fascinating as the town's culinary attractions.
