Our trip starts from Athens.
2 amazing days to the most majestic archaelogical places of Peloponnese.

Our first station is the canal of Corinth and after that, we are going to explore the places of Ancient Corinth and the historical Mycenae. We'll spend the night in Delphi (accomodation is not included. The accomodation for all, plus the driver's, must be done by the travellers), where in the evening we'll have free time for activities etc.

The next morning, we will head to Ancient Sparta and then, to Mystras. There, you will be able to enjoy the views of the castle. Our final destination before our return is the Ancient "Sacred Forrest" which was the name of Ancient Olympia and it's built on the North riverbank of Alfeios.

Day 1 Corinth canal

The Isthmus of Corinth is the narrow land bridge which connects the Peloponnese peninsula with the rest of the mainland of Greece, near the city of Corinth.

Day 1 Ancient Corinth

Corinth was a city-state (polis) on the Isthmus of Corinth, the narrow stretch of land that joins the Peloponnese to the mainland of Greece, roughly halfway between Athens and Sparta.

Day 1 Acrocorinth

Acrocorinth the acropolis of ancient Corinth, is a monolithic rock overseeing the ancient city of Corinth, Greece.

Day 1 Moni Osiou Patapiou

Patapios of Thebes is the patron saint of dropsy. Saint Patapios is well known for the miracles that he did in the past and still does nowadays, which are recorded with full details in the historical archives of the monastery which maintains a large library.

Day 1 Heraion of Perachora

The Heraion of Perachora is a sanctuary of the goddess Hera situated in a small cove of the Corinthian gulf at the end of the Perachora peninsula.

Day 1 Mycenae

Perseus establishes the most important and richest palace center of the Late Bronze Age in Greece, Mycenae: The Kingdom of Mythical Agamemnon. The Gate and the Tomb of the Lions, the tomb of Agamemnon ("Treasure of Atrea" in excellent condition and most impressive of the 9 Mycenaean tombs) the Cyclopean Walls of the Mycenaean Acropolis, are some of the monuments that enchant the traveler. The prime of Mycenae began in 1.600 BC. and lasted until 1.110 BC. The descendants of Perseus ruled for three generations. The rebuilding and fortification of the city began in 1350 BC. When Pausanias visited Ancient Sparta in the 2nd century A.C., it was already ruined.

Day 1 Nafplio

Overnight in Nafplio. The accomodation for all plus the driver must be done by the travellers.Accomodation is not included

Day 2 Ancient Sparta

At 6:30 AM we're going to start from Nafplio to Ancient Sparta.We will also visit its Acropolis,its ancient Theater and some Roman-era houses. An important creation that the visitor will have the opportunity to admire closely, is the statue of Leonidas in which his entire outfit is depicted in the battle of Thermopylae in 480 BC. during the second invasion of the Persians in Greece, after their defeat 10 years ago, in Marathon. We will also see the tomb of Leonidas (whose corpse,after 50 years,was transported and buried in Sparta in 430 BC),the statue of Lycurgus (the legislator of ancient Sparta who established the system of military education of the Spartans' society, according to Apollo's Oracle in Delphi)

Day 2 Mystras

Built on the slopes of Taygetos, the Castle of Mystras takes the visitor on a journey through time. It remains virtually indestructible and desolate, generously offering an unprecedented cultural experience (and not only) in landscapes that awakens the senses. Ready for a trip to history?

Day 2 Ancient Olympia

Visitors will have the opportunity to see up close the site of the Ancient "Sacred Forrest" which was the name of Ancient Olympia. Built on the North riverbank of Alfeios, it consists one of the greatests World Heritage sites (UNESCO), as well as an icredible natural landscape that evolved to the biggest religious sanctuary of the Ancient World. Like Time Travellers, we are magically transported to the site where the Olympic Games were held, the most important national event of Greeks, which according to tradition and myths began long before 776 B.C. (the official starting date/point) from Pelopa who won in a race track the King of Pissa, Enomao. Older indications of human presence in Ancient Olympia, were discovered the 4rth millenium B.C. to reach its peak period the 5fth century B.C. during which, politics, philosophers and artists were gathered to spread their ideas.

    This adventure took us through some truly stunning archaeological sites, and we were amazed by the history surrounding us. While the sights were breathtaking, we felt a bit rushed during some of the guided portions, making it hard to fully absorb the magic of each place.

    Our group had an unforgettable experience wandering through some truly breathtaking historical sites, which surpassed our expectations at every turn. The accommodations were comfortable and offered a nice blend of local charm, though we did wish for a bit more variety in the breakfast options. Overall, the chance to dive deep into the region’s archaeological treasures made for an enriching two days filled with laughter and awe.

    Exploring the majestic archaeological sites of Peloponnese with our family was a delightful experience, especially enjoying local cuisine along the way. While the sights definitely lived up to our expectations, we did find the pacing a bit rushed at times.

While the sites were truly breathtaking, we found ourselves wishing for a bit more time at each stop to really soak in the history.

    From the moment we arrived, the rich history and stunning landscapes captivated our senses as we visited ancient ruins and charming towns. The overnight experience was a highlight, allowing us to immerse ourselves in local culture, complete with delicious traditional meals. While the itinerary was packed with wonders, we occasionally found ourselves wishing for a bit more downtime to soak it all in.
