Fourth stop- Ribes´s cathedral and oldest city of Denmark- Ribe Cathedral, founded around 860 as Denmark’s earliest Christian site and rebuilt between 1150–1250 in tufa stone, now standing as the nation’s best-preserved Romanesque church with later Gothic and historicist additions. Its five aisles, twin towers, medieval bronze portal ("cat’s head"), magnificent frescoes in the apse by Carl Henning Pedersen, and a climbable 52-m Commoners’ Tower offering sweeping views make it a must-visit cultural beacon awarded two Michelin stars.
