After breakfast, we set out to explore the legendary West Bank of Luxor, beginning with the world-famous Valley of the Kings, the richest archaeological site on earth. Here, you’ll step into the tombs of ancient pharaohs, each adorned with intricate hieroglyphs and vivid wall paintings that tell the stories of their reigns and journeys to the afterlife. The sheer scale and historical significance of this site will leave you in awe.
Next, we visit the breathtaking Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir al-Bahri. This majestic temple, nestled against towering cliffs, was built for the only woman to reign over Egypt as pharaoh. Its unique architectural design and stunning terraces are a testament to her remarkable legacy and ambition. As you walk through its grand halls and courtyards, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of her extraordinary life and reign.
Our final stop on the West Bank is the great Colossi of Memnon, the imposing twin statues that are all that remain of the once magnificent temple of Amenophis III. Standing tall and silent, they offer a glimpse into the grandeur of ancient Egypt and the powerful rulers who shaped its history.
After an exhilarating morning, we board an air-conditioned bus and journey to the coastal paradise of Hurghada on the Red Sea. Here, you’ll have the evening to relax and soak in the serene beach atmosphere.
