These huge stupas can be seen from miles away and contain the remains of several Khmer kings including King Monivong (1927-1941) and King Ang Duong (1845-1859). The walk up the hill over 500 steps provides an excellent exercise especially the view countryside view. My time in Krong Siem Reap was deeply enriched by the private journey through Angkor Wat’s mesmerizing temples, where the sunrise cast an ethereal glow that felt almost otherworldly. While my accommodations were comfortable, I did find the breakfast options a bit limited, yet the local eateries nearby more than made up for it with their authentic flavors.

Exploring the ancient temples of Angkor Wat and the vibrant streets of Phnom Penh was an unforgettable journey. My accommodations in Krong Siem Reap were comfortable and conveniently located, providing a perfect base to discover the local culture. The only downsides were a few long travel days and the occasional tourist crowd, but the stunning views and rich history made it all worthwhile.

We recently completed a six-day private journey that truly unveiled some of the most breathtaking highlights of this beautiful country. The accommodations exceeded our expectations; the hotel staff were incredibly welcoming, making us feel right at home after long days of exploration. While we loved the rich history and stunning architecture, there were moments when the pace felt a bit rushed, especially during our visits to the iconic sites. Navigating through the bustling capital was exciting but could be overwhelming at times, especially with the heat. Overall, it was a wonderful experience filled with unforgettable memories and a deeper appreciation for the vibrant culture.

We had an amazing time discovering the stunning beauty of Angkor Wat and the rich history of Phnom Penh over six days. While the private tour offered us a personalized experience that truly enhanced our journey, we found some days a bit packed with activities, leaving little time to fully soak in each highlight.
