The Great Meteoron Monastery is the largest and oldest of the six active monasteries in Meteora, Greece. Founded in the 14th century by Saint Athanasios the Meteorite, it has played a pivotal role in the religious and cultural history of the region. The monastery is perched on one of the highest peaks of the Meteora rock formations, offering spectacular views of the surrounding landscape.

The Holy Monastery of Rousanou is one of the six active monasteries in Meteora, Greece, and is known for its stunning location and rich history. Situated on a rock pinnacle, it offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The monastery was founded in the 16th century and was initially inhabited by female monks, which is reflected in its peaceful and spiritual atmosphere. The tour consists of 2 monasteries depending on the available time.

Day 2

The Thermopylae Battlefield is an iconic historical site in central Greece, famous for the legendary Battle of Thermopylae in 480 BCE. Here, a small Greek force led by King Leonidas of Sparta made a heroic stand against the massive Persian army of King Xerxes. Today, visitors can explore the site, which features a monument to the fallen Spartans and informative displays about the battle’s significance.
