Daily Ephesus Tour from Istanbul departing

Early morning, transfer hotel to Istanbul Airport, getting-on plane and fly to İzmir. When arrival to Izmir Airport, our minibüs and guide waiting us for start to Ephesus Tour. Our first place to visit is the House of Virgin Mary on Bülbül Mountain, which is 9 km away from Selçuk district.

The House of the Virgin Mary was discovered by Lazarist priests in 1891 and was accepted as a pilgrimage center for Christians after Pope Paul VI’s visit in 1967. Those who want to leave a vow on the Wishing Wall of the church, which is also considered sacred for Muslims, leave their votive papers. We drink water from the Holy Fountain and then go to the Ancient City of Ephesus, which was built entirely of marble and was a metropolis at one time.

In Ephesus, we visit the Temple of Hadrian, the Temple of Domitian, the Temple of Serapis, the Church of the Virgin Mary, the Upper Agora and Basilica, the Odeon, the City Hall, the Bath and Public Toilet, and the Library of Celsus. We go to our restaurant in Selçuk to have lunch.

We see the Seven Sleepers House and the Temple of Artemis on the road panoramically from inside the vehicle. After lunch, our first visit is the İsa Bey Mosque. The mosque, which is still open for worship today, was built in the 1300s. Inside the mosque, you can see ancient Roman columns and period-processed marble.

Then we visit the Basilica of St. John, which has six large domes and contains the tomb of the evangelist St. John. After a short 10 km journey, we reach Şirince. Şirince, an old Greek village, has historical houses and streets with authentic architecture.

We listen to how fruit wines are made in wine houses. Guests who wish can taste and shop for free. After our Şirince tour, we return to Izmir airport.

We fly to Istanbul on the evening flight. Transfer İstanbul airport to your hotel.
