Cycling through the ancient city was a unique way to explore Polonnaruwa, with stunning ruins and vibrant landscapes around every corner. While the bikes were generally in good shape, we encountered a few minor hiccups with the gear shifting that slowed us down a bit.

Our family had a fantastic time cycling through the ancient wonders of Polonnaruwa in Sri Lanka. The highlight was definitely the breathtaking view of the Gal Vihara, where we marveled at the stunning rock-carved Buddhas. We appreciated the opportunity to explore at our own pace, although we did wish for a bit more guidance on some of the less-known sites. The lush surroundings made our ride enjoyable, and the gentle breeze kept us cool. Overall, it was a memorable adventure that we would recommend to anyone wanting to connect with Sri Lanka’s rich history.
