Yala National Park
is a huge area of forest, grassland and lagoons bordering the Indian Ocean, in southeast Sri Lanka. It’s home to wildlife such as leopards, elephants and crocodiles, as well as hundreds of bird species. Inland, Sithulpawwa is an ancient Buddhist monastery. Nearby caves contain centuries-old rock paintings. Southwest, Magul Maha Viharaya also has ancient Buddhist ruins. Both are pilgrimage sites.

The driver was friendly, patiently waiting for us, and even shared local tips about the best places to visit while we drove through the city. During the ride, we were impressed by the clean and spacious vehicle, which made the one-hour journey feel quick and relaxed.
One highlight was spotting the beautiful architecture of Tbilisi as we entered the city, which only fueled our excitement to explore further. However, we did experience a slight delay in our pickup due to traffic, which made us a bit anxious arriving at the airport. Overall, this service was a great introduction to our trip, but it would have been nice to have a bit more communication about the pickup status.
