Chengdu Wuhou Temple is a temple commemorating Liu Bei, Zhuge Liang and other Shu Han heroes. It is located at No. 231 Wuhou Temple Street, Wuhou District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. Wuhou Temple was built in the first year of Zhangwu in Shu Han (221 AD). It was originally a special temple to commemorate Zhuge Liang, and later merged into a temple for the emperor and his ministers. Historical background and architectural style The creation of Wuhou Temple was to express respect and remembrance for Zhuge Liang, and gradually developed into its current magnificent scale. Wuhou Temple consists of Huiling, Han Zhaolie Temple, Wuhou Temple, Sanyi Temple and other parts, arranged on a central axis from south to north. There are 50 statues of Shu Han heroes such as Liu Bei and Zhuge Liang in the temple, and there are also many inscriptions and plaques about Zhuge Liang and the Three Kingdoms culture in the area.
