Itinerary
ITINERARY
- Start 8:00 am, From Chachapoyas you travel in about 2h15 min. along a scenic road to San Bartolo.
- From the village of San Bartolo you walk more or less horizontal in in half an hour towards the viewpoint over the Mausoleums of Revash. These mausoleums are located in a huge rocky mountain wall and consist of several small houses with pitched roof tops. Its polychrome walls are protecting figures of important and powerful persons from the Chachapoyas culture.
- After Revash you wil vistit the interesting Museum of Leymebamba with lots of information about the several cultures that have lived in the Chachapoyas area.
- The museum shows a great collection with more than 1000 objects, including 219 mummies which were partly found in Laguna de los Condors. The collection also includes old, ceramics, carvings and weapons.
- After your visit to the museum we return to Chachapoyas around 6 pm.
