Braga, named as " Bracara Augusta" was founded by the Romans on the II century b.c, find many trace elements spread all over the town. mostly a destiny for religous tourism as it is the city with most churches in the country. Stage 1

Your private and expert guide will collect you from your hotel/accommodation or meeting point and will drive you to Braga, the capital of Minho Region. On your way , the guide will give you insights regarding the Portuguese history, development and cultural facts of portuguese heritage.

Stage 2

Welcome to Braga, one of the oldest cities in Portugal and important landmark through centuries for it's Triangle of Faith: Braga's Cathedral and the Sanctuaries of Bom Jesus and Sameiro.
A city inhabited since the Roman Empire, full of history, monuments, traditions and heritage.

Stage 3

This Catholic shrine dedicated to the Lord Bom Jesus is an architectural and landscape set composed by a church, a stairway with representations of the life of Christ.
Enjoy the views of the city and take your time to admire it's architecture.

Stage 4

The city of Braga, known as that of the Archbishops, has in its Cathedral its greatest ecclesiastical power. As such, the current See reflects the enrichment of the various interventions suffered over the years, applied by the different archbishops.

Prior to Nationality, this 11th century building is the oldest cathedral in Portugal. This is due to the famous expression "Older than Braga's cathedral" to designate something very old.
