Golden Triangle: this natural wilderness gained unwanted notoriety in the 1960s because of the abundant opium cultivation in the area, but today has been restored to a problem-free area.
Chiang Mai: the fragrant ‘Rose of the North’ was capital of the Lanna Kingdom founded by Mangrai the Great in the 13th century.
Phuket: among the world’s finest beach destinations, with fine white sands, nodding palm trees, glittering seas and lively towns. Blessed with more than 30 amazing beaches to choose from.

If you do this tour, come hungry! The Khan Toke dinner in Chiang Mai was delicious, but the street food our guide showed us in Chiang Rai was next level. The Elephant Jungle Sanctuary was the absolute best day—it felt very ethical and the elephants seemed so happy just doing their thing. Phuket was the perfect ‘dessert’ to the trip. We spent three days just lounging at Deevana Plaza and walking down to Patong beach for sunset drinks. It’s a ‘Very Easy’ pace like the description says, but you still see all the big icons. Highly recommend for couples!

I’m usually the one in my family who has to plan everything, so booking this was a huge relief. Having the domestic flights included is the only way to do this trip—I can’t imagine trying to bus from Chiang Rai to Phuket. The private transfers were always on time, and the cars were ice-cold (a lifesaver in the Bangkok heat). The Maeklong Railway Market was wild to see in person! One tip: Phuket is very ‘free time’ heavy, so definitely ask the local rep for boat tour recommendations early on. Great value for a private tour.

“The perfect intro to Thailand’s history!” “We just got back and honestly, the North was the highlight for us. Our guide in Chiang Mai was so knowledgeable visiting Wat Phra That Doi Suthep at sunrise was a spiritual experience I’ll never forget.
