Sung Sot (Surprise) Cave: Explore The Biggest Cave in Halong Bay
A place so amazing that the French deemed it “Grotte des Surprises” or (Surprise Grotto), Sung Sot Cave is one of the biggest, most beautiful caves in Halong Bay and a highlight on most Halong Bay itineraries.
Sung Sot Cave was discovered by a French in 1901.
Elevation: 25 meters above sea level.
This is the largest and perhaps the most beautiful cave in Halong Bay with an area covering up to 10,000 sqm.
“Surprise” is the immediate feeling you may have when visiting this incredible natural artwork.
Sung Sot Cave is among the most prevalent tourist attractions for travelers and it is included in almost all itineraries of cruises exploring Halong Bay.
The cave is accessible by a rented canoe, a day cruise, or an overnight cruise.
Best time to visit: Year round; however, the best months to visit are from October to December when the humidity level is low (60-70%).

Luon Cave is a part of Bo Hon Island, which is about 14 kilometers from the mainland of Bai Chay City. Known as the island of amazing things, Bo Hon Island is an outstanding location in Halong Bay that most tourists choose as a nextstop on their way discovering Halong Bay.

The surrounding area of Luon Cave comprises a lot of well-known places of interest in Halong Bay. In front of Luon Cave is Con Rua Island (Turtle Island), and on the right of this cave is the Heaven Gate. Not only that, in the area of Bo Hon Island is Sung Sot Cave, which is the most magnificent cave in Halong Bay. Tien Cave and Trinh Nu Cave are also famous caves in Halong Bay in the area near Luon Cave.

Ti Top Island is preferable for tourists when taking Halong Bay tours, thanks to its ideal location. Specifically, Bo Hon Island and Sung Sot Cave are ahead of the island, while Dam Nam Island is to the right, and Cua Luc Bay is on the backside. Moreover, Ti Top Beach is located only about 7-8 kilometers away from Bai Chay Tourist Area to the Southeast.

From the bird's eye view, Ti Top has a steep slope on one side and an inclined slope on the other side. The beach coast here has a moon-like shape with the smooth white sand and is favored with stunning nature. You can find its water clear and blue all year round, thus making pebbles visible on the sandy bottom. All of these geographical factors turn Ti Top Island into a must-visit stopover in Halong Bay.

After the amazing cruise tour, we will disembark and take the limousine bus back to Hanoi on express way.

Opened on January 1, 2016, Tuan Chau Harbour has operated under the model of "one destination, many facilities", besides being a port, there also are restaurants, supermarkets, souvenir shops and accompanying entertainment product chains, etc...at the harbor, making it fully meet the demand of tourists and sailors.
