About This Tour

This 8-day  package takes you to explore Samburu Game Reserve located in what used to be called the Northern Frontier District. The reserve is renowned for its rare species of animals unique to the park. Then explore Mt. Kenya National Park . You'll get a chance to explore Lake Nakuru National Park and finally the magical Masai Mara Reserve.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL

Arrive at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Representatives of Trek Afrika Adventures welcomes you to the land of unlimited opportunities. Thereafter transfer to your hotel in Nairobi, Kenya’s capital city to check in to your hotel. The rest of the day is spent at leisure.

DAY 2: SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE

After breakfast check out and drive to samburu with a stop over on the way. Arrive in Samburu at lunch hours for check in, lunch and little relaxation before going for an evening game drive. Dinner and overnight at Ashnil Samburu / Sopa lodge.

DAY 3: FULL DAY IN SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE

After breakfast we head for a morning game drive which will be spent exploring this amazing game reserve. You will have a chance to see concentration of the elephants, grevy Zebras, gerenuk, Beisa Oryx, reticulated Giraffe, Somali Ostrich as well as Leopards and Lions if lucky and Crocodiles especially along the river. Later return to camp for lunch. A visit to the samburu people in the evening, return to camp for dinner and overnight.

DAY 4: MT. KENYA NATIONAL PARK

Early Morning breakfast, Checkout and depart Samburu for our next destination and stopover at Mt. kenya. Arrive Mt. kenya late afternoon check in and have late lunch in Serena Mountain lodge / Fairmont kenya Safari club. Enjoy the view of Mt. kenya and the wildlife around the water hole. Dinner and overnight at Serena Mountain lodge / Fairmont kenya Safari club.
Please note: A warm jacket/sweater and a good pair of hiking boots is highly recommended.

DAY 5: LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast you depart for Lake Nakuru National Park with a brief stop at the Thompson’s Falls for a breath-taking view of the great scenery. You arrive at your camp in time for lunch.
This afternoon we depart on a game viewing drive circumventing Lake Nakuru. The lake is situated in the heart of the Rift Valley and is one of Kenya’s most famous soda lakes. Some of the interesting places to visit include the baboon cliff, the lion hill and the Mau escarpment.
The lake catchment is bounded by Menengai crater to the north, the Bahati hills to the north east, the lion hill ranges to the east, Eburu crater to the south and the Mau escarpment to the west.

DAY 6:Day 6: Masai Mara National Reserve

Early morning breakfast then drive to the Masai Mara National Reserve, offering wonderful scenery and plenty of game. You arrive at the tented camp or a lodge to a very warm welcome for lunch. Depart on an exciting afternoon game viewing drive. The Rolling plains and grasslands, stretching far into the horizons as far as the eye can see is home to the black-manned lion, the savannah elephant, the Cape buffalo, wildebeest, the elusive leopard, cheetah, the spotted & stripped hyena, the rhino, topi, burchelle’s zebra, the Maasai giraffe among many others.

Day 7: Full day in the Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, depart for a full day adventure. Be on the look-out for the big five that Masai Mara is famous. These include the lion, savannah (African) elephant, the Cape buffalo, the leopard and the black rhino.

Day 8: Nairobi

After breakfast we check out the lodge and head to Nairobi. Arrive in Nairobi in early Afternoon with a drop off to your Hotel or Airport.
