Set in the Rift Valley floor 90 kilometres northwest of Nairobi, Naivasha is a near-circular freshwater lake fringed by lush forests of fever trees and overlooked by the ragged-edged of the volcanic Mount Longonot. Though it is accorded no official protection, the lake supports a fair amount of indigenous wildlife. Giraffe, hippo and waterbuck may be seen almost anywhere on the lakeshore, which is also one of the most rewarding bird sites in Kenya, offering an opportunity for the experienced to clock up 100 species  Conspicuous water-associated birds include African fish eagle and the great white pelican, while noisy Fischer’s and yellow-collared lovebirds are among the most decorative and common woodland species. Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lakes lying along the Rift Valley extension which starts from Egypt all the way to South Africa.

Amboseli National Park is in southern Kenya. It’s known for its large elephant herds and views of immense Mount Kilimanjaro, across the border in Tanzania. Observation Hill offers panoramas of the peak and the park’s plains and swamps. Varied wildlife includes giraffes, zebras, cheetahs and hundreds of bird species. Amboseli has the best view of the highest mountain in Kenya Mount Kilimanjaro.

Day 1 7-Day The Great Rift Valley Lakes and Parks Safari Tour

Day 1 : Masai Mara National Reserve

On this first day you are up early in anticipation for your safari excursion. You will be picked by your guide who will review the itinerary and set up expectations and highlights things that are necessary for you to know. Ask any questions at this point.

Your journey starts driving westwards to the escarpment. You will have a stop-over at the Rift Valley view-point, then proceed towards south west to Masai Mara. Lunch will be served en route. You will then proceed to check into your accommodation.

Engage on an afternoon game drive to scratch the surface in this expanse park. Dinner and your overnight stay are at the camp.

Masai Mara National Reserve.

Day 2 Masai Mara National Reserve

Early in the morning, have breakfast then go for a full-day game drive with lunch. Explore the famous Masai Mara with more than 100 species of animals with a visit to the Mara River where the annual migration does happen every year. Later, return to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Note: You might want to take a balloon ride this morning.

You will also go to the Masai Village later today to see their way of life.

Day 3 Lake Nakuru National Park

Have breakfast at the camp then enjoy your last game drive in Masai Mara. Check out and proceed to Lake Nakuru. Lunch will be served en route. Upon arrival, check in at CityMax Hotel and spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing with dinner and your overnight stay at the CityMax Hotel.

Day 4 Lake Naivasha National Park - Hells Gate National Park

Have an early morning breakfast followed by a game drive to Lake Nakuru then depart for Lake Naivasha. It is about a 1-hour drive. Proceed to Hells Gate National Park for a biking safari. Later, return to the camp for lunch. The afternoon will be spent on leisure at the lake shoreside. You can have a 1-hour sunset boat ride available at an extra cost. Dinner and your overnight stay are at the camp.

Day 5 -Amboseli National Park

Depart after breakfast and drive to the famous Amboseli National Park. Amboseli is famous for its backdrop of the highest mountain in Africa Mount Kilimanjaro. It offers the best view for the same. Lunch will be served en route. Arrive at Sopa lodge, check in and relax until it's time for dinner. Dinner and your overnight stay are at the camp.

Day 6 Amboseli National Park - E

Have a full day in Amboseli with morning and afternoon game drives. All meals and your overnight stay will be at the camp.

Maasai village visits are also available both in Amboseli and Masai Mara although this is an optional activity. Should you require it, the office can organize it.

Day 7 Nairobi

Have breakfast then check out and proceed to Nairobi, arriving at around noon. Head on to the the carnivore restaurant for lunch. Drop off at the city center or the airport depending on your pre- arranged plans.
