: Fly from Istanbul to Adıyaman – Nemrut Mount Tour

Your adventure starts with a hotel pickup in Istanbul, followed by a transfer to the airport for your flight to Adıyaman. Upon arrival at Adıyaman Airport, you’ll be greeted by our team, who will be holding a sign with your name. The tour begins with a delightful lunch at a local restaurant in Adıyaman. Next, you will visit the ancient Cendere Bridge, a remarkable structure from the Roman era. The exploration continues at Arsemia Ancient City, the once capital of the Commagene Civilization. Then, you’ll proceed to the Tumulus of Karakus, the mausoleum of King I. Antiochos of Commagene. The highlight of the day is a visit to Nemrut Mountain for a breathtaking sunset, followed by an overnight stay in Şanlıurfa. Overnight: Şanlıurfa Included Meal(s): Lunch, Dinner.

: Göbeklitepe Tour – Fly back to Istanbul

After breakfast at your hotel in Şanlıurfa, the tour takes you to Göbeklitepe, an ancient site that predates the Egyptian Pyramids. After lunch at a local restaurant, the next destination is the Şanlıurfa Mosaic Museum, showcasing the rich history of the region. You will then explore the Şanlıurfa Archaeology Museum, one of Turkey’s largest, providing insight into the area’s past. The tour’s next visit is to the Pool of Abraham (Balıklıgöl), a site revered by both Muslims and Christians. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred to Şanlıurfa Airport for your late evening return flight to Istanbul, scheduled between 8:00 – 11:00 p.m. This marks the END OF OUR SERVICE AND TOURS. Tour Route and Significance

  • Region: Şanlıurfa (Balıklıgöl, Göbeklitepe) and Adıyaman/Malatya (Mount Nemrut).
  • Significance: Home to the oldest remains of human history. Culture, history, and a mystical atmosphere are found together.

Sites and Visits

  • Göbeklitepe: The oldest known temple complex, dating back 12,000 years.
    Note: Walking will be required in restricted areas. Don't forget sun protection.
  • Balıklıgöl (Urfa): The sacred pool believed to be the place where Prophet Abraham was cast into the fire.
    Note: When visiting holy sites, respectful dress (covering shoulders and knees) is recommended, especially for women.

Mount Nemrut Summit

  • Visit: The most challenging yet most magnificent part of the tour is the ascent to Mount Nemrut (the monumental tomb of Commagene King Antiochus I).
  • Preparation: A short hike to the summit is necessary. Bring water and your cold-weather gear. The view during the morning or evening hours is unforgettable.

Local Cuisine (Similar to Gaziantep cuisine)

  • Must Try: Urfa Kebab, Çiğ Köfte (be sure to try the version with meat), Lahmacun (Turkish pizza), İçli Köfte (stuffed meatballs), and the local dessert Şıllık.
  • Drink: The local bitter coffee, Mırra.
