3-Day Sahara Tour from Marrakech: Merzouga Camel & Desert Camp

Your adventure begins with a pickup from your accommodation or the nearest accessible point in Marrakech at 7:00 AM. From there, we embark on a breathtaking journey through the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, offering spectacular panoramic views of the High Atlas Mountains and traditional Berber villages nestled in the hills.

Our first major stop is the UNESCO-listed Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, an ancient fortified village known for its rich history and cinematic fame. After exploring this iconic site, you will enjoy a delicious lunch in Ait Ben Haddou.

Following lunch, we make a brief stop at a supermarket in Ouarzazate before continuing our journey through the scenic Rose Valley, famous for its annual rose festival and fragrant landscapes. By evening, we arrive in Tinghir, where you will check into your hotel and enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, followed by a restful night’s stay. Breakfast will be provided the next morning before the journey continues.

After breakfast, journey through Todra Gorges, Tinjdad, Jorf, and Erfoud, passing stunning Berber villages and oases before arriving in Merzouga. After a short rest at a hotel, pack an overnight bag and embark on a camel trek through the breathtaking Erg Chebbi dunes, capturing the magical sunset along the way.

At the desert camp, enjoy sandboarding, a traditional Berber dinner, and drumming music under a starry sky. Spend the night in a cozy nomadic tent, experiencing the serenity of the Sahara.

Wake up early to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the dunes, then ride your camel back to Merzouga. After breakfast and a refreshing shower at the camp, we begin our return journey to Marrakech, passing through diverse Berber villages and stunning landscapes.

We stop in Ouarzazate before retracing our route through the High Atlas Mountains. Your 3-day desert tour concludes in Marrakech around 7:30 PM, with drop-off at your hotel or the nearest accessible point to your riad.
