Itinerary

Stop 1 Welcome and Introduction to Zellige Art

Receive a warm welcome at the studio. We begin with a brief introduction to the history and cultural significance of Moroccan Zellige, explaining the tools and the natural materials used.

Stop 2 Demonstration of Traditional Techniques

Watch a live demonstration of how artisans cut and shape the small clay tiles. You will learn about the geometry and the precision required to create these ancient patterns.

Stop 3 Hands-on Creation & Collaboration

It's your turn! Under the guidance of our artists, you will start assembling your own mosaic pieces. For groups, this becomes a collaborative experience where everyone contributes to a larger, collective artwork.

Stop 4 Final Touches and Piece Selection

Once the patterns are set, we refine the work. You will select a fragment of the creation to take home as a personal souvenir of the experience. We wrap up the session with a small sharing moment to admire the final collective work. It’s the perfect time to take photos of your creation before saying goodbye.

  • No experience needed: This workshop is designed for all skill levels, from absolute beginners to experienced artists.
  • Clothing: We provide aprons, but we recommend wearing comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting a little bit of dust or paint on.
  • Age requirement: This activity is suitable for children (usually 6+ years old), but they must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Arrival time: Please arrive at the studio 10–15 minutes before the scheduled start time to settle in and meet the team.
