Itinerary

Temple of Heaven

Meet your guide at 8:00 in your Beijing hotel lobby and start the tour from going to the Temple of Heaven, to catch a glimpse of local people doing exercise. 

Tiananmen Square

After an hour walk in the Temple of Heaven, continue to see Tiananmen Square, which witnessed some of the most dramatic chapters of Chinese history. You will see some iconic buildings in Beijing on the Square.

Forbidden City

Then walk north to see the Forbidden City, the largest Imperial Palace in the world. Having been off-limits to commoners for centuries, it was officially opened to the public in 1925 as a public museum after the Last Emperor Puyi was kicked out in 1924.

Summer Palace

After lunch in a local non-tourist restaurant, continue to visit the Summer Palace, where the Qing emperors spent their summer time. You will see some iconic places like the working and living quarters of the Qing emperor, Marble boat, Kunming Lake and Tower of Buddhist Incense.
