Itinerary
Day 1
-
Pick up at 8:00 am and start the tour from visiting Tiananmen Square, the largest city center square in the world which witnessed hundreds of years' Chinese history. Then proceed north along the central axis of Beijing to see the Forbidden City. After that, go up the Jingshan Hill to have a panoramic view of the Forbidden City and downtown Beijing.
Lunch will be the Imperial Meal served in the oldest Imperial Park in China, the Beihai Park. Continue to explore Hutongs around Houhai Lake and Nanluoguxiang. Not only you will see some Qing style buildings, but also learn something about local people's life.
Day 2

Pick up at 8:00 am to see the Great Wall at Mutianyu, one of the most beautiful sections of the Wall in Beijing. The Great Wall at Mutianyu was built and restored in the early Ming Dynasty ([ ]), on the remnants of a Wall originally built in the Northern Qi Dynasty (550-577). Lunch will be served in fancy restaurant neary with view overlooking the entrie Mutianyu Great Wall.
Then drive back the city to see the Ming City Wall Ruin Park, you will get inside the Southeast Corner Watchtower first to see its showpieces and learn the history of old City Wall and Gates. And walk along the last remaining, and restored section of the 15th-century wall that once encircled Beijing.
Day 3

Pick up at 8:00 am to visit the Temple of Heaven, the place where the Ming and Qing emperors performed ritual ceremonies. Continue to see Liulichang Cultural Street, one of the eight workshops in preparation for construction of the Forbidden City. Now it is a famous antique market with many traditional buildings. Drive half an hour to the Panda House of Beijing Zoo, you will see a dozen of pandas playing and eating inside and outside their rooms.
Lunch will be served in a local restaurant, you will try the famous Peking Roast Duck together with other dishes. Then visit the Summer Palace, the place where Qing Emperors spent their summer time. A boat ride inside Summer Palace will take you to the Suzhou Street, an imitation of the famous Watertowns in South China.
