Being considered “Sa Pa of the Central” due to its cool air all year round (the average temperature in the summer is about 18 degrees), Ba Na Hills – Queen Mountain resort is an ideal destination for you. Ba Na is famous for not only its weather but also its magnificent landscapes. Let’s visit this “Heaven on Earth” in the Ba Na Hills Daily Tour with Dacotours!
Explore Golden Bridge, sits 1,400 meters above sea level, an altitude which creates the illusion of a silk strip hiding in the clouds above Da Nang.
Walking around and taking photos at Le Jardin D’Amour (the Flower Garden of Love), Debay Wine cellar, Linh Ung Pagoda, with 27m – height Shakyamuni statue on a 6m – height lotus brings tourists a peaceful feeling as visiting this place. Enjoy the panorama of Da Nang city.
The next destination of your trip in Ba Na is French Village
Linh Ung Pagoda is nestd on a prime, scred and tranquil location at the height of nearly 1,500m from the sea level. In front of the pagoda lies an astonishing three needled pine, which is an endangered species recorded in Vietnam Red List. Alongside Linh Ung Pagoda of the Marble Mountains and Linh Ung Pagoda on But Beach of Son Tra Peninsula, these three pagodas form a solid tripod that protects and embraces Danang City.
Holy Mother Shrine - As legends had it, when Ba Na – Lord Mountain was still largely untouched and local carpenters still scattered, the dangers of the mountains were notoriously spread as “First are tigers of Ba Na, second spooks of Phuc Tuu”. Hence, the locals made sacrifices to deities and “Holy Mother” to pray for peace and stability in life. Documents by French doctor Albert Sallet also mentioned that the Mother was a female deity called the Holy Mother. Even French governors who exclaimed Ba Na – Lord Mountain also paid due respect to local legends of the Holy Mother. They set up a shrine dedicated to her in 1931. During wartimes, Holy Mother Shrine was left totally unscathed. Trekkers in Ba Na particularly respected and attempted to preserve the shrine. Holy Mother Shrine has been preserved, upgraded and now made a place of interests of pilgrims who pray for good luck and fortune.
Belfry
Let’s admirethe belfry modeled in Buddhist architecture that hosts the sophisticatedly and elaborately cast bronze bell weighing 1 ton at the sacred peak of Ba Na. Echoes of the bell pervade the air and dissolve into nothingness of the wild, soothing our mortal hearts as if we are allowed to enter the divine and eternal nirvana.
Linh Phong Zen Monastery (alternatively known as the Northern Pagoda) is a quintessential reenactment of the Northern Buddhist architecture and totally constructed out of Erythrophleum fordii timber. Situated in the southeast, Linh Phong Zen Monastery inclides the Front Hall, Rear Hall and gardens. In its compound lie statue of Buddha and 18 Alahats standing in two left and right rows.
