Step 1

Yogyakarta city areas as the starting and meeting point at your lobby hotel. We will drive around 2 hours to the base camp Selo as the start of this adventure.

Step 2

Begin your adventure in the early hours at Selo Base Camp, the gateway to the majestic Mount Merbabu. This popular trekking route offers a moderate yet rewarding climb, perfect for those looking to experience the natural beauty of Central Java. As you ascend through lush forests and grasslands, the cool mountain air will invigorate you, with the distant twinkling lights of villages below adding to the serene atmosphere.

Upon reaching the higher points, you'll witness the breathtaking sunrise as it illuminates the horizon, casting a golden glow over the volcanic peaks of Merapi and the surrounding landscapes. With local guides by your side, you’ll gain insights into the mountain’s history, flora, and fauna, making the journey both educational and deeply memorable. After savoring the view, the descent brings further opportunities to enjoy the mountain's beauty, concluding the experience back at Selo Base Camp.

Step 3

Driving back to Yogyakarta city areas will take around 2 hours. Relax and take a nap our lovely driver will fetch you to the hotel.
