Itinerary
| Cairo – St. Catherine
Day 1 | Cairo – St. Catherine
Your tour begins with pickup from your hotel in Cairo or Giza at 06:00 AM. You will then travel by air-conditioned vehicle to St. Catherine, a journey of approximately 6 hours through the Sinai Peninsula.
Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in St. Catherine for check-in and time to relax. The rest period is important to prepare for the overnight climb.
At around midnight, you will be transferred to the starting point of the mountain trail to begin your ascent of Mount Sinai with a local guide.
Day 2 | Mount Sinai Sunrise – St. Catherine Monastery – Return to Cairo
Begin climbing Mount Sinai (2,285 meters) in the early hours of the morning. The route follows a long mountain path and ends with the famous 700 steps leading to the summit. You will arrive in time to enjoy the spectacular sunrise from the top of Mount Sinai.
For those who may find the climb difficult, a camel ride is available for an additional charge for part of the route, up to the area before the final steps.
After descending, visit St. Catherine Monastery, one of the most celebrated monuments of Sinai and one of the oldest working Christian monasteries in the world.
Following the visit, enjoy breakfast at the hotel or at a local restaurant in St. Catherine, depending on the final arrangement. After breakfast, begin the drive back to Cairo. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel.
