Itinerary

07:00 AM – Depart from Kathmandu to Sankhu

Drive from Kathmandu (approx. 1–1.5 hours)
Enjoy a scenic ride passing through the outskirts of the city and entering the peaceful village of Sankhu.

08:30 AM – Arrive at Sankhu and Begin the Hike

Start the hike from Sankhu Bazaar, a historic Newari town.
Visit Bajrayogini Temple, a sacred site dedicated to the goddess Bajrayogini, located on the hill above Sankhu.
Spend some time exploring the ancient architecture, spiritual surroundings, and panoramic views.

10:00 AM – Continue Towards Manichur Forest

Hike through lush pine forests and quiet trails.
Enjoy nature, bird sounds, and occasional views of the Kathmandu Valley and surrounding hills.
The trail is shaded and peaceful, perfect for nature lovers.

12:30 PM – Reach Manichur Viewpoint

Rest at the Manichur hilltop.
Capture stunning photos, enjoy your packed lunch, and take in the fresh mountain air.

01:30 PM – Descend Back to Sankhu (or Take an Alternate Route)

Begin your descent through a different trail (if preferred), passing through more forest paths and small village settlements.
Arrive back at Sankhu by late afternoon.

03:30 PM – Drive Back to Kathmandu
