Itinerary

Stop 1
  • Drive from Kathmandu (approx. 1–1.5 hours)
  • Enjoy a scenic ride passing through the outskirts of the city and entering the peaceful village of Sankhu.
Stop 2
  • Start the hike from Sankhu Bazaar, a historic Newari town.
  • Visit Bajrayogini Temple, a sacred site dedicated to the goddess Bajrayogini, located on the hill above Sankhu.
  • Spend some time exploring the ancient architecture, spiritual surroundings, and panoramic views.
Stop 3
  • Hike through lush pine forests and quiet trails.
  • Enjoy nature, bird sounds, and occasional views of the Kathmandu Valley and surrounding hills.
  • The trail is shaded and peaceful, perfect for nature lovers.
Stop 4
  • Rest at the Manichur hilltop.
  • Capture stunning photos, enjoy your packed lunch, and take in the fresh mountain air.
Stop 5
  • Begin your descent through a different trail (if preferred), passing through more forest paths and small village settlements.
  • Arrive back at Sankhu by late afternoon.
Stop 6
  • End the day with a comfortable drive back to Kathmandu.
  • Expected arrival: Around 05:00 PM
