Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Paro – Transfer to Thimphu
  • Welcome to Bhutan! After landing at Paro International Airport, meet your local guide and drive through peaceful countryside to Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital. Relax, stroll around the city, and enjoy a traditional welcome dinner.

Day 2 First Day of Thimpu Festival Tour
  • Spend the day immersed in the Thimphu Tshechu. Watch monks perform sacred cham dances in colorful masks and robes, accompanied by traditional music. Join locals in celebration—this is both a spiritual ritual and a joyful gathering.

Day 3 Thimphu – Festival Day 2 + Sightseeing
  • Another day of celebration! Enjoy more sacred performances and then explore local highlights like the Buddha Dordenma, the Folk Heritage Museum, and the National Memorial Chorten.

Day 4 Thimphu – Festival Day 3
  • Witness the final day of the Tshechu. Early risers can see the Thongdrel, a giant silk appliqué revealed once a year for blessings. Soak in the festive spirit one last time before preparing to head east.

Day 5 Thimphu to Punakha
  • Thimphu to Punakha

    Drive over the scenic Dochula Pass (3,100m), stopping to admire 108 chortens with views of the eastern Himalayas. Continue to the lush Punakha Valley, visiting the Chimi Lhakhang (Fertility Temple) and the grand Punakha Dzong—Bhutan’s most beautiful fortress.

Day 6 Punakha to Paro
  • Drive back to Paro, stopping at scenic spots and villages along the way. In Paro, visit the National Museum and explore Paro Dzong, offering sweeping views over the valley.

Day 7 Gangtey –Bumthang
  • After having breakfast in the morning, you will drive east to Bumthang, the spiritual hub of Bhutan. Taking a glimpse at the Jakar Dzong in this morning and visit around at one more outstanding dzong of Bhutan.
    The vibe created amongst lush trees and admiring vibrant painting as well as ancient architecture is literally above anything. On that note, one can also join the cycling tour riding to Ura valley, get to capture the most breathtaking eyeshots along the way then enjoy the beautiful landscape before going back to the hotel in downtown Bumthang.

Day 8 Hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery
  • Hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery

    Take a scenic 2–3 hour hike to Paro Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest), Bhutan’s most iconic landmark, perched on a cliffside 900m above the valley. It’s a powerful spiritual site and one of the most breathtaking hikes in the Himalayas.

Day 9 Leisure Day in Paro
  • Leisure Day in Paro

    Take it slow—explore local markets, visit traditional farmhouses, or simply enjoy the quiet atmosphere of Paro. Optional: traditional Bhutanese hot stone bath.

Day 10 Departure from Paro
  • After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight out, carrying memories of sacred dances, serene valleys, and Bhutanese kindness with you.
