Detailed Itinerary
Start Time: Approx. 8:00 AM End Time: Around 4:00 PM
➡ Pashupatinath Temple
Your day begins at the majestic Pashupatinath Temple, the most sacred Hindu temple complex in Nepal. Located along the banks of the holy Bagmati River, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is dedicated to Lord Shiva. You'll explore richly carved pagoda temples, watch cremation ceremonies, and feel the powerful spiritual energy that draws thousands of pilgrims daily.
➡ Guhyeshwari Temple
Next, visit Guhyeshwari Temple, just a short walk from Pashupatinath. Considered a powerful Shakti Peeth, it's dedicated to Goddess Parvati and holds deep tantric significance. Many believe it to be the spiritual womb of Kathmandu. Pilgrims offer red cloth, flowers, and oil lamps in devotion.
➡ Budhanilkantha Temple (Sleeping Vishnu)
After a peaceful lunch break, travel north to Budhanilkantha Temple, where a 5-meter-long stone statue of Lord Vishnu rests serenely on a bed of cosmic serpents in a sacred pond. It’s one of the most mysterious and beloved sites in Nepalese Hinduism.
➡ Cultural Insight & Return
Your guide will share insights into Hindu rituals, myths, and traditions throughout the day. After some light refreshments, you’ll return to your hotel in Kathmandu, spiritually enriched and culturally inspired.
