Ananuri fortress: a story in stone
On the coast of Aragvi you will be met by the only fortress of Georgia that has reached us in its original form. Walking through the territory of the Ananuri defense complex, you will feel like a resident of the Middle Ages and learn about the glorious past of the Aragva eristavi (heads of the people). And we will definitely pay attention to the Assumption Church of the 17th century, whose facade is decorated with interesting bas-reliefs, and each element of the decor carries a hidden meaning.
Step 4
At the confluence of Ora Aragvi and in a beautiful valley, there are restaurants that are located in a beautiful location. where you can taste Georgian khinkali and other traditional mountain dishes. You will taste several wine and brandy tastings for free (the restaurant is charged).
