Itinerary

Step 1

Stop for photos in Firostefani to admire the famous Blue Dome Church, which is an emblem of the island.

Step 2

Visit the famous village of Oia, nestled on the slopes. Oia is unique in every way, with its iconic blue dome churches, picturesque trails, breathtaking caldera views and the most spectacular sunset.

Step 3

The medieval village of Pyrgos (meaning "tower" in Greek) is famous for its well-preserved Venetian castle, ancient Orthodox Christian churches and traditional houses.

The highest point on the island

is the Prophet Elijah Mountain, 600 meters (2,000 feet) above sea level. There is the monastery of the same name. Also, don’t miss the opportunity to admire the panoramic view of the island, caldera and neighbouring islands.

Step 5

Enrich your historical knowledge of the island by visiting the Akrotiri Archaeological Site, considered one of the most important prehistoric settlements in the Aegean Sea.

Step 6

Your local driver and expert will take you to the unique Red Beach, where you can admire the stunning red volcanic rock formations.

Step 7
