Mount Sinai Night Trip from Sharm El Sheikh
Embark on a spiritual journey to one of the world’s most famous mountains – Mount Sinai, where Moses is believed to have received the Ten Commandments.
Your adventure begins in the late evening, with pickup from your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh between 19:30–21:00. After a 3-hour drive, you’ll arrive at the base of the mountain and start your night climb. As you ascend under the starry sky, you’ll reach the summit just in time to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the desert peaks.
The tour concludes around 14:00, after your descent and visit to the historic Monastery of St. Catherine.
Tips for your trip:
- Dress warmly – temperatures at the summit can be very cold (bring gloves, hat, and a jacket).
- Carry a thermos with hot drinks and some snacks.
- Keep in mind that prices for food and drinks on the mountain are higher than usual

At 2:00 am, you’ll begin the 3-hour ascent of Mount Sinai (2,285 m) accompanied by an experienced guide. The climb follows a winding path that eventually leads to 700 stone steps, taking you all the way to the summit just in time to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the desert landscape.
For those who prefer not to hike the entire way, there is an option to ride a camel for most of the route. However, please note that the final 750 steps to the peak must be done on foot.

After your descent from Mount Sinai, your guide will welcome you at the gates of the historic St. Catherine’s Monastery, one of the oldest Christian monasteries in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
