Itinerary
Step 1
Our tour starts with a pick up at your accommodation in Cape Town and surrounding areas (flexible) on this private tour to Cape of Good Hope and Boulders Penguins colony. We begin with a brief drive-by city orientation tour to see important monuments and building in the Cape Town City Centre.
Step 2
Soon after hotels and guest houses pick ups, we will have our first stop in this historical and heritage site of Cape Town known as Bo-Kaap, whereby. the tour guide will allow you to take some Instagram photos along the colorful houses. Bo-Kaap was once known as an area where South African were oppressed in the form of slavery, it is today regarded as a sign or symbol of freedom. A visit to Cape Town wont be completed without a stop here.
Step 3
The wind winds us away to the breathtaking scenery of soft life, the Miami of Cape Town, Camps Bay. Situated on the foot of Table Mountain, Lion's Head, and 12 apostles, the restaurant Capital and both a celebrity and Tourist hotspot. Here we will make a brief stop, take a few pictures and walk on the white sandy beach while admiring the magnificent view, and enjoying the fresh breeze from the blue flag sea, you can grab a quick coffee at Starbucks or light road snack.
Step 4
Should you choose to take the optional boat trip to Seal Island, the duration will be 45-minutes. This excursion is weather-permitting. Please take along a light jersey because the temperatures tend to drop when we are at sea.
Step 5
We will drive South towards the suburb of Hout Bay which the local residents nicknamed the Republic of Hout Bay due its being alone location geographically surrounded by mountains and Oceans, Hout Bay share no direct borders with any of cape town suburbs. The drive to Hout Bay from Maiden Cove is spectacular as we pass through Bakove, Twelve apostols, L'landudnho. The main tourist attraction at the harbour, is a round 45 minutes boat trip to the seal island where thousands of cape fur seals have made a permanent home. Hout bay is a shopping paradise for guests who want to take a piece of Africa's art and souvenir home. The boat trip to the seal Island is optional and at own account. Normally ZAR 100 per adult , children pay half price. Local cash and credit cards are accepted to any place of interest along the tour. Should you want to taste the local delicacy please ask your tour guide to direct you where you could buy the best fish and chips in Cape Town .
Step 6
One of the world's most spectacular coastal drives, situated on the western side of the Cape Peninsula. On this road, you will have a panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean on one side, and of the Western Mountains of Cape Peninsula on the other side. Enjoy a breath of fresh air from the sea, take a few pictures, listen to a brief history behind this work of art and you can also write your name on the bench wall as a memory that you were also here. We will only make a short brief stop here then we proceed to Cape Point.
Step 7
At the Southern end of the Chapman's peak drive is a farm village that boast a raw juice, beast roasted coffee in the area as well as shops for a small shopping spree. A short stop to indulge in some of these will be offered to you.
Step 8
Just a mere 200m before the Cape Point Nature Reserve is an Ostrich Farm where guests will have an opportunity to stop by along the road and take pictures of Africa's largest bird also get to take pictures with them.
Step 9
Cape Point Nature Reserve is a home to the most South Western corner of African (Cape of Good Hope). Rich fauna and flora makes this place a biodiversity spot. Visitors can enjoy the views while in the comfort of a vehicle or foot.
Farmed corner of Africa
Where the cold Atlantic and Indian oceans shares common grounds. The Cape of Good Hope is however only the most South Westerly point of Africa. Hiking trails to the summit of the Cape make for great activity and sightseeing. The Cape of Good Hope sight is also another big attraction. Guests would often need to stand in a Que and it is believed that when there is no Que there is no hope.
Step 11
Walk and take the funicular cat (at own costs) up to the South Africa's 3rd oldest lighthouse for a 360 degree view of the national park. The old lighthouse was launched in 1860 only to be decommissioned 40 years and dozens of shipwrecks too late after studies proved that its high altitude posed a great danger to sailors around the Cape as they couldn't be able to see it in a much lower altitude.
Step 12
Our next stop will be the Penguins colony in Boulders beach, where your guide will escort you to the viewing point to see some of the 2500 breeding pairs of African Penguins at close range. You may even find one or two of these enchanting creatures walking alongside you on the boardwalk.
A home to thousands of endangered tuxedo swimmers, Boulders Beach the African Penguins. Here you will walk on the beach and take close up photos of one of our light less birds.
Step 13
We will drop you off at any accommodation around Cape Town City Centre. Or you can provide us with the location where you want to be dropped off around Cape Town City Centre.
