Step 1
One of Jamaica's and the world's most unusual spectacles, the luminous micro-organisms at Glistening Waters really are something to see. There are only a handful of locations world-wide where one can experience this phenomenon. Jamaica's is voted as ''The Best" The boats take you into the lagoon at dusk. As the water is disturbed, you will see eerie light illuminating the waters.
Take a glass-bottom boat out on the glowing waters of the Luminous Lagoon and jump in for a swim among the harmless phosphorescent phytoplankton. Swimming is optional. Boat ride tour last for about 30 minutes.
Step 2
Jerk food is cooked in the traditional style, on open air barbecues over pimento wood.
Spicy jerk chicken and pork are the specialties of Scotchies but a milder jerk fish is also available along with a wide range of side dishes such as festival, rice and peas, roast yam, breadfruit, potatoes and corn.
Travelers will be getting this stop at no extra cost however lunch or dinner is at your own expense.
