Day 1 Proceed towards Sigiriya

    Meet our Kingfisher Representative at the Arrival Terminal or your Hotel and start the Tour with Greetings,
    Let us start the Tour with a salutation of "Ayubowan" which mean "May you live long",
    Your Kingfisher Representative will guide you to take sim cards or change currency at the Airport and transfer you for the Tour by Private Air Conditioned vehicle

    Get a chance to go on an oxen cart ride and experience the world from the view of a village farmer. Have a relaxing catamaran safari through a calm lake. Walk through the golden fields ripe with their harvest of paddy. Watch an enjoyable traditional cooking demonstration that teaches you the basics of Sri Lankan cuisine.     This three-hour safari takes you on a ride through the Minneriya National Park. Enjoy the sight of over 150 elephants congregating in one place during the famous Great Elephant Gathering, which happens in the dry season between May to October. Day 2 Once you reach Kandy

    Climb the 5th century AD rock fortress, Sigiriya, where the King Kasyapa ruled. Walk through the entrance framed by the paws of a lion that is quite appropriate for its name, ' the Lion Rock'. View the beautiful unfading murals that brought Sigiriya its fame. Climb the steep staircase to see the terraced gardens and still-working cisterns. Walk through the tunnels leading to the palace as you get a feel for times long past.

    Pidurangala is a massive formation located a few kilometers north of Sigiriya,
    It has an intresting history closely related to that Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Climbing to the top of Pidurangala is more strenous than climbing Sigiriya. If you are fit and adventurous it is a climb worth making. You can have a clear and wonderful view of World Unesco Listed Lion Rock with some amazing photoshoots

    Head towards Kandy (Cultural Triangle) enroute via Dambulla,
    Enter the historic caves of the Golden Temple of Dambulla, dating back to the 1st century BC. View the ancient murals depicting the life story of Lord Gautama Buddha. Look at the hundreds of figurines of Buddha and other deities scattered throughout the five main caves. Visit the Cave of the Divine King, Cave of the Great King and the Great New Monastery. See the giant golden Buddha Statue just a little distance outside the cave complex.

In 1824 a tea plant was brought to Ceylon by the British from China and was planted in the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya for non-commercial purposes. James Taylor was a British citizen who introduced commercial tea plantation in Sri Lanka (Ceylon). He arrived to Sri Lanka in 1852 and settled down in Loolecondera estate in Kandy. Today even people who have never heard of Sri Lanka are familiar with Ceylon tea, which is known for its quality

    One of the highlights in the mountain village Ella is the 30-meter high Demodara Nine Arch Bridge. With a small 30-minute walk through the jungle, you will reach a piece of beautiful architecture that is hidden between lush green tea fields. It is allowed to walk on the bridge and it’s one of the things you must do in Sri Lanka.

    The stone train bridge, built by the British, with its nine beautiful arches, is located between Ella and Demodara station. The train ride in the highlands with the Kandy to Ella train is named as one of the most beautiful train rides in the world.

Get a chance to see crocodiles, water snakes, tree snakes and wild boars in their natural habitat. Watch the cormorants; storks and many other avianlife hunt for their prey in swift flow of Madu River. View the pots for catching prawn and shrimp left in some of the shallower areas of the river. Visit the old Buddhist temple on one of the islands that dot the river liberally. Stop by another of the islands; which are the source of the cinnamon industry of Sri Lanka. Purchase some fresh, high quality cinnamon to take home as a souvenir. Make sure to visit the outdoor fish massage parlor, where you can dangle your feet into a fenced part of the river to get treated by the massage fish.
