Itinerary
Basakih Temple Tour
You will be picked up from hotel and we will depart in the morning heading to The mother temple, Besakih. Continue to visit the cool oasis of the Water Garden (Tirta Gangga) with its spring-fed pools, In the morning, we will drive you to East Bali to glimpse into the disappearing world of Karangasem Kingdom through its three palaces built by the last Rajah in the early 20th century. Taman Ujung, located near the ocean, was a place of leisure for the royal family and their guests.
Puri Agung Karangasem is a huge walled area consisting of grand buildings in numerous separate courtyards. It is still the center for the ceremonial life of the royal family of Karangasem, where each building serves a specific function. Chinese design elements, such as these wall tiles, are seen throughout the palace, attesting to the close relationship between the former king and Chinese traders. Lunch at local restaurant on personal’s account to enjoy authentic Balinese home-style cuisine with a view across Mount Agung. Onward, visit Tenganan village, home to Bali aborigines. The village is famous for exquisite, authentic textiles (double ikat) and craft works. Late in the afternoon you will be transferred back to your hotel.
