Start your day early with a scenic drive from La Paz through the dramatic Andean highlands. Along the way, enjoy captivating views of iconic peaks like Huayna Potosí and Chacaltaya, with occasional glimpses of Lake Titicaca shimmering in the distance. The route includes several picturesque stops, including the haunting Cementerio de Milluni, a silent testimony to the region's mining past, and Mirador Jilarata, a panoramic viewpoint offering sweeping vistas of the surrounding landscapes.

Upon arriving near Laguna Charquini (5390 m), begin your trek into a world of untouched beauty. The trail winds through rugged Andean terrain, offering views of snow-covered peaks, vast high-altitude plains, and vibrant local flora. After about 1.5 hours of hiking—adjusted to the group's pace—you’ll reach the highlight of the journey: Laguna Esmeralda.

This stunning glacial lagoon, famous for its intense turquoise hues, sits in a natural amphitheater of snow-capped mountains.
