    Day 1 Airport-Anuradhapura-Sigiriya

    One of the historic capitals, Anuradhapura, is the first stop on your Cultural Triangle Tour. The sacred city is also a UNESCO world heritage site because it is brimming with stories waiting to be learned. Mihintale is the first historical location you go to as part of your Cultural Triangle Tour. The hard climb to Mihintale feels completely worthwhile because it welcomes you with a stunning panorama and crazy winds. Ruwanweliseya, Twin Baths (Kuttam Pokuna), and Ritigala Forest Monastery are beautiful examples of historic architecture. Even though your trip to Sri Lanka has just begun, you are already capturing everything you see.
    The Ruwanweli Maha Seya, also known as the Mahathupa, is a stupa in Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka. Two quarts or one Dona of the Buddha's relics are enshrined in the stupa, making it the largest collection of his relics anywhere.
    Kuttam Pokuna (twin ponds or pools) are well preserved old bathing tanks or ponds in Sri Lanka. This pair of ponds was built by the Sinhalese in the ancient Anuradhapura Kingdom.     Day 2 Polonnaruwa City-Sigiriya Ancient City-Minneriya Safari

    You may explore more about the rich history of Polonnaruwa, the second city on our Cultural Triangle Tour. Welcome to the city that once held a kingdom and now guards some of the finest ancient artefacts in the world. You visit the Polonnaruwa Vatadage, the archaeological museum, the Royal Palace of King Parakramabahu, and numerous other well-preserved historical buildings. The attention to detail that each of these remains received astounds you. Thereafter, you go to Parakrama Samudraya, a water reservoir with five lakes that is a popular tourist destination in royal Sri Lanka. You spend the evening beside one of these lakes, which is surrounded by a lush landscape. – A time to cherish!
    A vaṭadāge is a type of Buddhist structure found in Sri Lanka. It also known as a dage, thupagara and a cetiyagara. Although it may have had some Indian influence, it is a structure that is more or less unique to the architecture of ancient Sri Lanka.
    The Gal Vihara, and known originally as the Uttararama, is a rock temple of the Buddha situated in the ancient city Polonnaruwa, the capital of the ancient Kingdom of Polonnaruwa, now present-day Polonnaruwa, in North Central Province, Sri Lanka. It was fashioned in the 12th century by King Parakramabahu I.
    Parakrama Samudra is a shallow reservoir, consisting of five separate wewa connected by narrow channels in Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka. The northernmost reservoir is the oldest and referred to as Topa wewa built around 386 AD.

    Dambulla cave temple also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla is a World Heritage Site in Sri Lanka, situated in the central part of the country. This site is situated 148 kilometres east of Colombo, 72 kilometers north of Kandy and 43 km north of Matale.
