About This Tour

Embark on a thrilling journey with us in February 2025 as we recreate the Heroes of Telemark's legendary escape route after their successful sabotage mission on the Heavy Water factory at Vemork, Norway.

The Kompani Linge Heroes played a pivotal role in Operation Gunnerside, a globally renowned sabotage operation during World War II. The mission aimed to thwart Nazi Germany's production of Deuterium Oxide, commonly known as heavy water, crucial for their nuclear energy program.

This extraordinary 13 - day expedition, inclusive of comprehensive training, promises to push your physical and mental limits. Following the footsteps of the Heroes, our journey commences from the original escape route start point in Rjukan.

Tailored for enthusiasts seeking endurance and adventure, our expedition covers winter survival skills and delves into the historical context of the wartime era. Progressing at a deliberate pace of 3 kilometres per hour, this experience is ideal for individuals eager to test their mettle in a demanding winter environment.

Navigate through some of Norway's most challenging and rugged terrains, relying on traditional log cabins for survival. Are you resilient enough to trace the heroic path of those who faced these challenges head-on?  The pinnacle of our expedition will be a visit to the historic crossing point at the Swedish border where the heroes crossed to freedom. Join us and discover if you have what it takes to follow in their footsteps.
