Muong Hoa valley (6km), one of the most scenic valleys in the North Western of Vietnam. Drive slowly through a narrow road between two mountain ranges of Hoang Lien Son and Den Thang to reach the valley. It is farmland to quite a few ethnic minority groups and thus housing the largest colony of terraced paddy fields in the area. Enjoy the stunning view of the imposing mountains and of the terraced fields’ soft contours embracing the hillsides, take photos then from your entry point to the valley, walk through the valley and cross its other side to get Lao Chai village of the Black Hmong minority people where you will have a chance to observe its inhabitants, The Trekking to the next village is Home of the Giay people belonging to a very small minority group only found in Northern highlands of Vietnam.
Enjoy rest and fine lunch in a local household.
After lunch, continue to hike for 3 km over hills and through a bamboo forest. A short stop will be made at a waterfall before getting into Giang Ta Chai village, home to the Red Dao ethnic minority people. Chat with villagers and observe their daily life activities. The car will pick you up to return to Sa Pa.
Situated 18 km from Sapa town. Giang Ta Chai shares a border with Ta Van village – It’s a very special trekking route. Lao Chai – Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai. Giang Ta Chai village is home to the Red Dao who wear plain black trousers and a long black tunic with embroidered cuffs and lapels.
Trekking to Giang Ta Chai village. You will have a chance to trek through terraced rice paddies, bamboo forests and stunning waterfalls. Red Zao minority people are the second biggest group of Ethnic minority in Sapa after Black Hmong People. Where you also have a chance to see the people still wear very colorful traditional costumes. Visit Giang Ta Chai village, visitors also have a chance to visit a wonderful waterfall as well.
