This temple is considered as the most beautiful buddhist temple in Korea, which is located right next to the sea. So it make great view with sea in Korean Traditional Temple Building!
Gamcheon cultural village has its own special beauty of the town,
It is formed by houses built in staircase-fashion on the foothills of a coastal mountain, earning this village the nickname "Machu Picchu of Busan." Many alleys that cut through this community are vibrantly decorated with murals and sculptures created by the residents.
Busan Tower is a symbol of Busan that stands proudly 69 m above sea level at a height of 120 m. The top of the tower is modeled after the baldaquin of Dabotap Pagoda in Bulguksa Temple, Gyeongju.
Loved by Busan citizens and tourists alike, the tower offers a stunning night view and plenty to see, such as the Statue of the Great Admiral Yi Sun-sin, the Bell of the Citizens, a flower clock and a bust of the Busan-based independent activist, Baeksan An Hee-je.
Having been remade into a cultural tourist attraction promoting the advancement of Korea’s film industry, BIFF Square has contributed to Busan’s newfound status as an international cultural tourist city. The 428 meter-long street stretching from the Buyeong Theater in Nampo-dong to the overpass in Chungmu-dong was divided into “Star Street” and “Festival Street,” and on the eve of the festival each year the “BIFF Square Ground Opening” is held on the street. During the ceremony, events such as the hand printing of famous movie celebrities and Nunggot Jeomdeung (snow-flower lighting) take place. A district such as BIFF Square, crowded with first-run theaters in a city is rare not only in Asia but Europe as well, and for this reason it holds great potential. In recent years, the square has grown into a more complex area, featuring not only movie theaters but also shops and leisure facilities, attracting growing numbers of young visitors and tourists.
Jagalchi Market, located on the shoreside road in Busan's Jung-gu, is Korea's largest seafood market, selling both live and dried fish. After the Korean War, the market solidified itself as a fish market. Most of the people who sell fish are women, so the vendors here are called Jagalchi Ajumma, "ajumma" meaning middle-aged or married woman in Korean.
This market represents Busan and is famous throughout the country. Visitors can eat fresh raw fish right at the market. Even nowadays visitors can see women selling mackerel, sea squirts (ascidians) and whale meat on wooden boxes along the road outside of the market and along the shore.
Following the Korean War, refugees who fled to Busan set up stalls in order to make a living, and this was the beginning of the Gukje Market (gukje meaning "international" in Korean). The Gukje Market is one of Korea’s largest markets; each alleyway is crowded with stalls, and it connects to Bupyeong Market, Kkangtong Market, and other smaller markets. The market stocks such a wide variety of goods, that you can find almost everything you need right here.
Designated as a Busan monument, along with Oryukdo Island, Taejongdae represents Busan, and is especially famous for its rock beach. Featuring its highest peak at 250 meters, there are forests of pine trees and 200 other varieties of trees. Taejongdae was named after the 29th king of the Silla Kingdom (57 BC-AD 935), King Taejong Mu-Yeol (604-661). King Taejong traveled to many places but this was the place he enjoyed shooting arrows the most.
Under the lighthouse of this resort is a rock called Sinseon Rock, named after the myth that gods and goddesses came down here to relax. At this rock is a figure called Mangbuseok, named after the story of a woman who waited for her husband who had been taken to Japan. Taejongdae is also famous for the ritual of praying for rain, performed when there are droughts, and rain on the 10th day of the fifth lunar month is called the "Taejong Rain." On days with clear skies you can see Japan’s Tsushima Island from the observatory.
Haeundae Beach is the most famous beach in Busan. The white sand beach is roughly 1.5 k m long, over a 30-50 m wide area, creating a beautiful coastline before a shallow bay, making Haeundae Beach perfect for swimming.
People flock to Haeundae Beach every summer. All kinds of accommodations from luxury hotels to private guesthouses have developed in the area around the beach, making this the perfect summer vacation spot. Haeundae Beach is also famous for various cultural events and festivals held throughout the year. Other facilities in the area include Dongbaek Island, Busan Aquarium, a yachting dock, BEXCO, driving courses and more.
The Shinsegae Centum City Department Store is registered in the Guinness World Records as the largest shopping complex in the world. The department store has a countless number of items all under one roof. Visitors can also enjoy numerous entertainment options in the complex. Shinsegae, which opened the first department store in Korea, reflects decades of retail experience in this flagship location. Some of the various entertainment facilities available include a spa and an ice rink.
Globally renowned experts such as Italian architect Claudio Silvestrin and an American architecture and design firm Callison completed Centum City under the concept of a “golden sea”. The department store has emerged as a defining landmark in Busan.

Exploring the hidden gems of Busan was a delightful journey that allowed me to dive deep into local culture. I loved the flexibility of customizing the itinerary, which meant I could spend extra time at lesser-known spots that truly captured the essence of the city. However, the transportation could have been a bit smoother at times, making me wish for a more efficient route to fully maximize my day.

As a solo traveler, I appreciated the opportunity to customize my itinerary and discover some truly unique spots that are often overlooked. One highlight was a visit to a local market where I savored fresh seafood and chatted with friendly vendors who shared their stories and traditions. The guide was knowledgeable and accommodating, making sure I experienced the cultural nuances that often escape the average tourist. However, I found that the timing felt a bit rushed at times, especially when I wanted to linger at certain places. Still, the blend of local delights and hidden gems made the day memorable. Overall, I left with a deeper appreciation for the area and a collection of beautiful memories. If you’re looking for a personal touch in your adventures, this is definitely a worthwhile experience.

Our day in Busan felt like a treasure hunt for local delights, with each stop revealing a unique facet of the city. We hopped on a comfortable private bus that whisked us away from the usual tourist spots, allowing us to delve into charming neighborhoods and taste authentic street food that truly satisfied our cravings. One of the highlights was discovering a hidden art district, where local artists showcased their work, making it a wonderful opportunity to engage with the community.
While the itinerary was largely customizable to our preferences, we felt a bit rushed at a couple of locations, leaving us wanting to linger longer. However, our guide was genuinely passionate about the history and culture of the area, enriching our experience with stories that brought the sights to life. The blend of exploration and relaxation made for a fulfilling day, and it was a pleasure to uncover lesser-known gems in a city that has so much to offer. Overall, we left with a deeper appreciation for Busan beyond the typical highlights.
