Enjoy a scenic drive through the lush countryside with an excellent photo opportunity, explore the Bay of Islands from Auckland, and Travel to the birthplace of New Zealand, enjoy an adventurous Bay of Islands cruise out to the remote Cape Brett Lighthouse, visit the iconic Hole in the Rock on Motukokako Island, and enjoy a great sand-boarding experience down Te Paki Stream.

Day 1: Matakana Art and Vineyard Experience
Spend an amazing day exploring beautiful gardens filled with unique sculptures, art galleries & then finish your day visiting a boutique vineyard to taste a premium selection of wines. An art experience that is internationally unique. Over 400 works of art fill three sculpture gardens and six galleries. A destination that has been ten years in the making is designed to unlock the imagination, fuel creativity, and ignite the mind. The gardens burst with colorful plantings that change with the seasons. Imposing prehistoric rocks rise up alongside panels that display reflections in writing on Gardens, Inspiration, Wisdom, Art, and Music.
An art and food experience wouldn’t be complete without a glass of wine. Experience the Architectural award-winning Glass House, cantilevered over a shimmering lake with fabulous food featuring the freshest seasonal produce. Taste our highly acclaimed range of wines, overlooking the vineyard where all our wine is estate grown.
The drive from Matakana to Paihia will take approximately 2 hours. You are set to relax for an overnight stay. Paihia is a great place to experience New Zealand’s beautiful scenery and unique wildlife.
This is the Platinum package includes superior accommodation on a twin-sharing basis with complimentary breakfast. The standard package is available on request.
Day 2: Cape Reinga and Ninety Mile Beach Tour (B)
Be ready for a journey like no other with a full-day coach tour into the Far North of New Zealand. Along the way you’ll visit ancient kauri forests, drive along the sand of Ninety Mile Beach and even have a go at sandboarding – surfing down the massive sand dunes at Te Paki Stream dunes (if you dare!) is sure to get your heart pumping.
A visit to New Zealand is not complete without a journey to the very top of the North Island – Cape Reinga (Te Rerenga Wairua). The very tip of Aotearoa (New Zealand) will open your eyes to Māori culture as you learn of the spiritual significance of this place Cape Reinga where two oceans collide. Enjoy spectacular panoramic views, visit the iconic lighthouse, and see the point where the Tasman Sea and the mighty Pacific Ocean come crashing together.
Day 3: Hole in the Rock Dolphin Cruise and Waitangi Treaty Grounds (B)
Take a half-day Hole in the Rock cruise and explore the Bay in search of dolphins while visiting its highlights. You could be watching dolphins as they leap and play in sheltered waters – or keep an eye out for other marine mammals like whales and seals. Cruise in and out of beautiful unspoiled islands, see the remote Cape Brett Lighthouse and the impressive Hole in the Rock at Motukōkako Island.
Within a 5 minute drive, The Waitangi Treaty Grounds are an absolute must-do when you are in the Bay of Islands – rich in history and stories of the momentous events which shaped our nation. Take time to wander through the beautiful grounds of the Waitangi estate, complete with extensive gardens, bush tracks, beaches, and fabulous views over the Bay of Islands and beyond. Enjoy an inspiring and interactive experience as you discover Waitangi’s two contemporary museums, powerful Maori cultural performances, informative guided tours, lush native forest, and gardens, carving studio with live demonstrations, marvel at the scale of Ngatokimatawhaorua, the world’s largest ceremonial war canoes (waka taua), a quality café in tranquil surrounds, and so much more, all with stunning views over the Bay of Islands.
At the end of your journey, enjoy the spectacular views from the Auckland Harbour Bridge as you arrive in Auckland’s central city by night.

Cancellation policy (Day Tours)
In the event, you have purchased a day tour and subsequently wish to cancel it, ExperienceKart may refund your booking at its sole discretion, in which event you will be charged a cancellation fee as follows:
- Up to 7 days prior to travel date, tour is 100% refundable
- 2 – 6 days prior to travel date, 50% of your ticket plus any booking fees and charges.
- 24 hours or less will be charged 100% of the ticket.
Cancellation policy (Overnight Tours)
In the event, you have purchased an overnight tour and subsequently wish to cancel it, ExperienceKart may refund your booking at its sole discretion, in which event you will be charged a cancellation fee as follows:
- Up to 15 days prior to travel date, tour is 100% refundable
- 10 – 14 days prior to the date of the tour – 25% of your ticket plus any booking fees and charges.
- 4 – 9 days prior to the date of the tour – 50% of your ticket plus any booking fees and charges.
- 72 hours or less will be charged 100% of the ticket.
Terms & Conditions:
Changes to reservations will incur an amendment fee of 10% of total package price to cover our administration and communication costs. We may also need to pass on any amendment/cancellation fees imposed by our suppliers. All reservations and changes must be made by contacting our reservations department.
You agree to indemnify ExperienceKart Limited against any loss, damage or expense suffered or incurred by ExperienceKart Limited, its officers, employees, agents or related companies as a result of any claim by any third party whose claim arises from your use of your ticket or your acts or omissions while travelling on any ExperienceKart Limited tours & services.
