💎 Why we love it ?

This tour is designed for anyone who is looking for an adventure ride whilst touring with the local insider. You will have time for cultural exploration and personal discovery throughout your trip. Through this cycling adventure, you will cycle on the charming backroads and jungle trails to discover the beautiful scenery of Cambodia and immerse yourself in the local Cambodian culture. Uncover the stories of the famous Angkor temples, learn about the ancient capital of the Khmer Kingdom, and heading down to the Great Lake (Tonle Sap) where you can experience the real activities of Cambodian people who live in the floating villages.

🏁 Tour Itinerary: Angkor Cycling Tour

Day 1: Cycle the Siem Reap Countryside & Phar Circus (D)

Welcome to Siem Reap! Upon arrival at the airport in the morning, you will meet our driver and the English-speaking tour guide, who will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel to check-in. You will have time to rest before starting your cycling at 2 pm.
In the afternoon, we will take you down interesting dirt roads to escape town and to experience local livelihoods. There are multiple scenic places where the tour will stop, including rice fields, rice mills, local markets, mushroom farms, and more. During this ride, we will stop and welcome you to try local fruits and snacks at the local village.
We will return back to town and take a break from touring and enjoy the creative local cuisine at Marum Restaurant (Marun is NGO that has been working with street children and other marginalized young people).
After having dinner, we will head to Phar Circus, where shows tell stories of Cambodian history through a mix of music, dance, and acrobats, in addition to meeting the talented performers.

🏚️ Hotel Option: Central Corner d’Angkor or similar.

Day 2: Discover the Angkor Temples (B, L)

After breakfast at the hotel, you start biking the morning temple exploration at the most illustrious temple with fewer crowds. First, you will visit Ta Prohm which is unique in that it has been left largely as it was found- overgrown by jungle trees and vines, with many parts of the temple crumbling to the ground. This makes the so-called Tomb Raider Temple, as it was used during the filming of the movie, one of the most picturesque and memorable temples of the Angkor complex.
You will then head out to the ancient city of Angkor Thom, enter the city through the ancient Gate, an impressive stone gate carved with elephants and four giant faces. From here, continue to Bayon Temple, found in the center of the city famed as the enigmatic faces representing the 54 provinces of the Great Khmer Empire. The Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King are also must-visits as they are both known for their intricate bas-reliefs.
You will take a break at lunch and stop at the local restaurant to enjoy tasteful Cambodian dishes.
Lastly, you will bike to the gem of the Angkor complex, Angkor Wat. Following your tour leader, you will be mesmerized by the rich history and symbolism of this unique ancient temple. Afterward, you will return to your hotel.

🏚️ Hotel Option: Central Corner d’Angkor or similar.

Day 3: Bike to the National Park of Kulen Mountain (B, L)

Today, we depart from the hotel in the morning on the adventure ride through the scenic land all the way to Kulen Mountain. Along the way, you will cycle past the local markets, schools, Buddhist temples, and the stylish Khmer wooden houses where you’ll gain more information about local ways of life in Siem Reap. Continue the ride to the Palm Sugar Village where they make palm sugar out of the fruits of the palm trees, where you can try a few tasty local snacks.
Afterward, we’ll National Park and trek uphill into the jungle trail for 7 km to the waterfall and the River of Thousand Lingas. You can see the carvings on the river bed. In order to reach the waterfall, it will involve a short trek, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes! And of course, don’t forget your swimwear!

🏚️ Hotel Option: Central Corner d’Angkor or similar.

Day 4: Pedal the Floating Village & Sunset Cruise (B, L)

Today, discover the great landscape of the Tonle Sap lake by bike and boat. This is a unique experience offering a great outdoor adventure into Siem Reap’s countryside by exploring a floating village and enjoying a sunset cruise along the river.
This tour will take you to the charming backroads in order to explore the local ways of life in Siem Reap. You will be greeted by friendly locals and get a deeper understanding of their lives and traditions. The journey will end at the Tonle Sap lake, where you will experience the livelihoods of Cambodian people living in the floating villages, offering you the opportunity to see how families adapt their life to living on the water. At the end of the day, we will catch the sunset on the lake with some snacks and cold beverages. You will return back to the city by private vehicle in the late evening.

🏚️ Hotel Option: Central Corner d’Angkor or similar.

Day 5: Village Cooking Class – Trip Concludes (B, L)

Discover the wonders of Cambodian culinary by going to a village cooking class. Prepare to visit local markets, village life, and landmarks while whipping up delicious dishes. Cook with a private chef in their countryside kitchen, whilst learning the cultural traditions of several small rural villages. For authentic local food, vibrant village life, and amazing people, this tour is the way to go! It will probably be one of the highlights of your trip to Cambodia. What makes it unique and memorable is the opportunity to learn how Cambodian spirit beliefs are connected to food experience and tasting incredible dishes!

Awesome experience! My guides and drivers especially Sokvut, was outstanding. They were flexible to what I wanted and enjoyed. They were not just my tour guides but they made me feel like a friend, I didn’t feel alone though I traveled solo. The hotel accommodation was beyond my expectations. Excellent service. The staff were very polite and helpful. The Siem Reaper made my Cambodia adventure a wonderful and unforgettable one. Simply outstanding tour operator.

This was our fantastic cycling adventure in Siem Reap … We are extremely tough critics and compared to any other tour We’ve taken or trip we’ve planned ourself, The 5day trip their team put us together for a private tour that was amazing. We LOVE traveling and experiencing the culture and community everywhere we went. This was truly authentic. We were cycling through several villages & streets and the Temples. However, it seems everyone offers tours… it was our TOUR GUIDES that made the trip was perfect. The guides were knowledgable, well-spoken English, professional and extremely fun to be with! We would participate in ANY tour these guides were a part of because it was exciting, fruitful and felt like home. Thank you for making our trip special in Siem Reap.
