Day 1: Arrival – Antananarivo (B)

Arrival at Ivato-Antananarivo international airport. Upon arrival, meet our staff at customs. Assistance in issuing visas and baggage formalities. Transfer to your hotel.

Day 2 : Antananarivo – Fort-Dauphin – Berenty (B, D)

After breakfast, departure to Ivato airport for a flight to Fort Dauphin, the capital of the Antanosy tribe. Arrival and reception at the airport then transfer to the private reserve of Berenty.

✈️ Domestic flight around 6.30 am is excluded from the price.

Day 3: Berenty Private Reserve (B, D)

Breakfast at your Lodge then takes advantage of your first day of walking to admire the beauty of the Berenty private reserve. It is one of the island’s best-known reserves, featured in numerous television documentaries. Berenty is located on the bank of the Mandrare River and is a small island (265 ha) of natural habitat surrounded by a huge sisal plantation. It is one of the few reserves where visitors are allowed to wander without a guide, which provides a rare opportunity to be alone with the wildlife. Berenty is the place to see Verreaux’s sifakas “dancing” across open ground and intimate encounters with troops of ring-tailed lemurs emblematic of Madagascar species are guaranteed. There are equally friendly brown lemurs, hybrids of lemur Rufus and, E. collaris. In adjacent areas of a spiny bush, nocturnal mouse and sportive lemurs, and fat-tailed dwarf lemurs are readily seen, sometimes even during the day at the hole of woods. Birds: Giant coua will mandatory welcome you and the hook-billed vanga, ashy cuckoo shrike, Madagascar scops owl, Frances`s and Madagascar sparrowhawk…Reptiles: warty chameleon, radiated tortoise, spider tortoise, plated lizard…

Day 5: Berenty – Fort-Dauphin (B, D)

After breakfast, leave with sadness to reach Fort-dauphin. Automatically no more body speaks in the car, you must have emotion because you leave the beautiful family of lemurs and the paradise that you will not see anywhere. The way back to the town of the Antanosy tribe, the town where you are sure to be able to interact with the ethnic group that lives in this region. These highly skilled fishermen are on the beautiful Libanona Beach when they return after their day of fishing. Lunch at your convenience. After lunch, enjoy the city tour, the sunset on the beach, or wherever you can.

Day 6: Fort-Dauphin – Antananarivo (B, D)

After breakfast, preparation for departure. The way to the airport then Flight back to Antananarivo. Arrive in Antananarivo, welcome, and transfer to your hotel. City tour with the Tour To Madagascar team to show the history and the best viewpoints of the capital.

Day 7: Flight Back Home (B)

Breakfast at the hotel then transfers to the airport. Possibility of making a city tour of the city and the last purchases at the artisanal market of the dike before your transfer to the airport. Assistance for your return flight.
