This tour surely covered the best historical places of Turkey and a very convenient way! Itinerary was good and was not rushed with lots of time to take photos which our guides were just all too willing to take. Efe Boutique Hotel in Kusadasi was just so-so and I wondered why it is called a boutique hotel when it’s service and amenities are not boutique hotel quality. But our cave hotel (MDC Cave Hotel) in Cappadocia was lovely with warm hospitality and we were surprised that it included free dinner too! Ephesus, Hierapolis, Pamukkale and Cappadocia are really must-see places and we had such a wonderful time with knowledgeable tour guides. Downside is the very early (4am) pick up time in Kusadasi when our flight was still 715am and the airport is only an hour away! Not all places in the Viator itinerary were included. We were looking forward to the place where scenes from Star Wars were shot but it was not included and when I asked the tour guide, she said it is too far! The other issue was we were brought to the wrong airport on our way back to Istanbul and I had to rebook and pay for rebooking fees as our airport was an hour away and we could no longer catch our flight. We waited at the airport for 4 hours and it was such a waste of time! I think, the local tour operator needs some improvement but overall it was a good tour and at least, it was really a small group that’s easy to manage. There were a few days that we were the only ones.
