The Lemosho route is one of the newer routes on the mountain, and a superb choice for your climb. It is our preferred route due to its ideal balance of low traffic, beautiful scenery, and a high summit success rate. The route approaches Mount Kilimanjaro from the west, beginning with a long drive from Moshi to Londorossi Gate. From there, the first two days are spent trekking through the rainforest to Shira Ridge. Lemosho is considered the most scenic route on Kilimanjaro and grants panoramic vistas on various sides of the mountain. Thus, Lemosho is highly recommended.
Kikuletwa Hot Springs
Kikuletwa Hot Springs area is located one and half hours away from Moshi, covered with fig trees. Kikuletwa is a small destination of crystal-clear waters surrounded by an area of the arid landscape. Don’t miss out on refreshing from the African heat of lovely warm temperature water.
Kilimanjaro Animal Crew
Kilimanjaro Animal Crew was established on Mount Kili’s slopes in Tanzania to provide a safe preserved spot for rescued animals. Put this sanctuary at the top of your must-visit places to see if you’re an animal lover. Take a stroll around the farm, where you’ll find wild monkeys and other rescued creatures residing there.
Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park has the world’s largest number of elephants and houses over 700 tree-climbing lions. You’ll also find lions, zebras, giraffes, and wildebeest get to gather together around a massive waterhole near the park entrance. Remember that the best visiting time is between June and October as during migration season you won’t find much to see.
Moshi is a Mecca for travelers interested in a good night out, so you can find many excellent bars and clubs in this small town. Karaoke nights are the norm in Moshi, and locals and seasonal tourists enjoy a good time at Pamoja Bar. Malindi Club is another entertainment spot for nightlife in Moshi to dance to the Tanzanian beat and grab a beer. Fridays are for live music and local musicians. But if you prefer more quiet places, Then Kool Bar and Peter’s Club are your right destinations next to each other where you’ll find different kinds of local meals and drinks.
Old Railway Station
Moshi’s Old Railway Station is a popular hub for both locals and travelers to watch the world go by while laying back in front of the stunning views of Kilimanjaro, and relax, and grab a beer. The train runs between Moshi to Dar es Salaam, and the old ticket booth is used as a bar.

Don’t miss out on visiting the relaxation spot of Lala Salama Spa, situated at YWC Moshi. Body scrubs, waxing, pedicures and manicures, and the most relaxing item, massages, are offered.
